CAN Converters : CAN < == > COM, USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi solutions |
ICP DAS CAN converters are used to establish a physical coupling of two or more communication interface, and are infrastructure components with which complex network structures can be implemented. They can be used to implement the data conversion between CAN and COM, USB or Ethernet interface. For example, the I-7530 series devices are high speed or low speed/fault-tolerance CAN bus to RS-232, RS-485 and RS-422 interface converters. The I-7540 series devices are high speed CAN bus to Ethernet or Wi-Fi interface converters. And the I-7565 series devices are high speed CAN bus to USB interface converters. By selecting the necessary CAN converters, user can control and integrate the data exchange and transmission between multi-interfaces easily. |

Application short stories:
Cash-in-transit Vehicle System |
A telematics and vehicle control system needs to be closely integrated with each other by implementing data exchange interface. LSFT (Low Speed/Fault Tolerance) CAN is a familiar type of interface in the application of automotive electronics systems. The I-7530-FT is specially designed for solving the problem of interface transformation between LSFT CAN and RS-232. In this way, the armor cash carrier manufacturer can efficiently control the door of the cash vault and directly monitor the status of the rear access vehicle door on the telematics. |

Pick-up truck and gyroscope Monitor System |
The pick-up truck and gyroscope and automatically send data to CAN and RS-232 bus. And the I-7540D will bypass these data to the PC side. Then the PC can collect, analyze , extract and filter those data, like vehicle speed, engine speed, fuel expenditure speed, inlet-air pressure, intake manifold pressure and the gyroscope trajectory and extract. Then the necessary data can be saved into database for future used. |
ABS/ESP and Train-aided radar system |
The I-7540D-WF can be used on ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) /ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and Train-aided radar system. The mobile device, like iPad/ iPhone(iOS) and devices that support Android OS, can connect with the I-7540D-WF and convert the necessary data from Wi-Fi signal to CAN signal .Then sending these data to the ABS/ESP system or Train-aided radar system for data update. |
