I-7532RM-FD is a local CAN/CAN FD (CAN with Flexible Data-Rate) bridge module designed to connect two CAN or CAN FD networks. It enhances bus loading capacity, extends communication distances, and facilitates connections between CAN/CAN FD networks with different baud rates. Additionally, it supports seamless message transformations between CAN and CAN FD networks, including: CAN to CAN, CAN to CAN FD, CAN FD to CAN and CAN FD to CAN FD.
The module also offers advanced transformation capabilities, such as frame mapping rules, merging rules(combining multiple CAN frames into a single CAN FD frame) and splitting rules (dividing a single CAN FD frame into multiple CAN frames). Users can freely apply these rules to meet specific application requirements. Once connected to a PC via USB, the module’s baud rate and message forwarding rules can be easily configured using the provided Utility tool.

Features:
- Compliant with the ISO 11898-2 standard.
- Supports CAN 2.0 A/B and FD specifications.
- Switchable between ISO and Non-ISO (Bosch) CAN FD standards.
- Data field bit rates for CAN FD ranging from 100 kbps to 10000 kbps.
- Bit rates for CAN ranging from 10 kbps to 1000 kbps.
- Configurable CAN Bus message filters with white-list filtering. Each port supports 128 groups of standard IDs and 64 groups of extended IDs.
- Support CAN/CAN FD frame forwarding rules, including basic forwarding rule, mapping rule, merging rule and splitting rule. When a frame is received on one CAN port, it is processed according to the defined rules and then forwarded to another port. The process priority of these rules is as follows: “merging rule” = “splitting rule” > “mapping rule” > “basic forwarding rule”.
- CAN network status can be monitored through the Utility tool.
- Messaging throughput of up to 10,000 frames per second(fps) per port.
- Independently configurable baud rate of each port, offering high flexibility.
- Built-in switchable 120 ohm terminal resistor for CAN network.
- The CAN/CAN FD baud rate can be configured using a rotary switch for predefined options or customized via Utility tool.
