The tDS-700-UL series is a tiny Serial-to-Ethernet device server that converts RS-232/422/485 serial communication to Ethernet, enabling devices without connectivity to connect to an Ethernet network. After configuration using the VxComm Driver/Utility, the module’s built-in COM Port can be virtualized as a standard local COM port on a Windows host. This allows the module to be quickly deployed in various network applications without requiring software modification.
 
With its space-saving design, the tDS-700-UL can be directly connected to serial devices or embedded in machines for flexible and convenient installation. It supports both IEEE 802.3af PoE (Class 1) and DC power input and features an ultra-low power design to minimize power consumption. In addition, the module provides 3000 VDC isolation and +/-4 kV ESD protection to help protect equipment against electrical disturbances.
 
The module is UL certified and complies with stringent safety requirements for fire resistance, protection against electric shock, and durability, helping ensure stable and safe operation in a variety of environments.
 
The UTA version features a conformal-coated PCB that provides excellent protection against moisture, salt spray, and corrosion, making it particularly suitable for coastal, high-humidity, and other harsh environments.
