ICP DAS announces the release of a new member of the ViewPAC family, the VP-4131, which features a 10.4” TFT LCD touch panel.

The VP-4131 is equipped with a PXA270 CPU (520 MHz) running the Windows CE.NET 5.0 operating system, a variety of connectivity options (USB, Ethernet, RS-232/485), 3 expansion slots for connecting additional I/O modules and a 10.4" TFT LCD with touch panel.

The Windows CE.NET 5.0 operating system has many advantages, including hard real-time capability, small core size, fast boot speed, interrupt handling at a deeper level, achievable deterministic control and low cost. Running Windows CE.NET 5.0 in the ViewPAC provides the ability to implement PC-based control software, such as Visual Basic.NET, Visual C#, Embedded Visual C++, SCADA software, Soft PLC etc.

Compared to traditional IPC + PLC solutions, ViewPAC reduces the overall system cost and space, and gives you all the best features of both IPC and PLC in a single solution.
